The Jarl of Markarth X

Shadock enters Markarth Late in the night wearing a Fine robe from Radiant Raiment with fine boots and a strange ring and amulet.He also had a small bag hanging from his waist. He walks toward the inn and pays for a room and goes to it. He sits on the bed and begins to experiment with a new spell he is trying to create. He casts it on a cup in the room and then cast the same spell on the ground a few feet away. The cup dissapears and reappears in the same spot and turns to ash.

"Blast it all!" He says with a flair of anger and lays back on the bed closing his eyes and waits for the sun to rise.

Aedar wakes up his white eyes searching around his rooms as he feels something in the air tonight he says, "Something is here,".

Decius startled by Aedars reaction "What is it and how are you sensing it?!"

"A mage gets more and more attuned to magicka as he gets older, oh my this is a strong a menacing prescience somewhere in the city," said Aedar holding his head as if he had a headache.

"Can you sense who or what it is?"

"No, I can't I just sense something and it is immensely powerful and it seems almost...familiar," said Aedar.

"Is it friend or foe?"

"I'm not sure, go check the inn their maybe someone there who knows where this is coming from," said Aedar clutching his head.

"Is whatever this thing is really that big of a threat?"

"Maybe, I'm not sure it's menacing, but...controlled almost," said Aedar.

"Great I'm going back to bed" Decius lays back down in his bed

Aedar nodded and he himself drifted off back to sleep.

The next morning Shadock opens his eyes sensing the sun is rising he sits up and opens his satchel and pulls out a potion of red. He drink it and his face seems to become less pale. He puts the bottle back in his satchel and heads out of the inn. As he exits the inn he notes the suns current location and makes sure to stay in the shade as he travels. He takes a right and follows the stream to the stairs by the blacksmith. He follows them up to the top next to the guard tower that overlooks the city. He observes the city for several minutes before walking back down to the blacksmith area. He takes the first staircase by the blacksmith and heads up toward Understone Keep. Before entering he turns right at the enterance and walks past the waterfall and looks over the housing side of the city. He stands next to the small tree plotted there, as he looks over the city observing structural weaknesses and the most strategic way to attack the city. "Beautiful stonework" he said as he looked over it

That morning Aedar woke Decius to go and explain magicka theory to him as the best way to practice magic is to understand it so they got out of the musty old home and began walking around and talking to Decius as the morning sun rose over Markarth, looing ahead, however, he saw a certain High elf and said, "Shadock?".

"You know him? He looks strange." Decius says as he follows Aedar with his hand in a pocket if his Mage robes.

Shadock turns his head and sees Aedar and an imperial walking toward him "Ahhh Aedar, so this is where you've come to die is it? Not a bad place this city, im sure your ashes would match the stone color, ha." He says as he walks up to Aedar "tell me how long has it been since you left the college?"

Aedar smiled at Shadock and said, "I can't remember anymore, but it's better than staying with a bunch of elitist and close-minded individuals, speaking of which how are you doing up on your high horse, Shadock?"

"I'm actually stepping down from Illusion headmaster posistion. Some bandits came in and tried to ransack the place one of them jumped out my window! I'm here now to see by old friend calcemo.

"Calcemo? Why do you need to see him?" said Aedar quizzically.

"The Jarl? No offense,old friend, but you live in Winterhold, why do you need to talk to our Jarl?" said Aedar

"A new student, Decius, he came to me to learn Restoration magic," said Aedar.

"I don't think so, unless you have some scrolls on Restoration my library has very little," said Aedar.
