"Simple, the spell hits the ward which acts as a shield and either absorbs it or it breaks the ward."

Another series of loud knocks could be heard at the door.

Aedar shakes his head and says, "No, that is what a ward does, but how does it work," hearing the door he looks to his student and says, "And get the door please,".

"Good question, Does it drains the incoming spell?" Decius says as he walks toward the door

Aedar says, "No, a ward work by hardening the magicka around you through concentration and thus making it into a magical shield, however, now talk this into account, why then, if the ward acts like a shield, why do weapons move through it with ease?"

" If it did the gods would complain and we mortals do not need that do we?" Decius joking as he opens the door

"Yes," said Aerdar chuckling as he sat up and then further said, "It won't work because a ward works using pure magicka, a supernatural force from another plane, to deflect other forms of magicka such as fireballs or sparks, but since weapons are built in this plane of existence they move through magicka as they are on differing planes,"

As the door opens the same little boy is standing there "hello mister im supposed to give you this." The boy tries to hand the man another bottle of liquid. This time the bottle not unlike a skooma bottle was denser than before.

" Oh no you don't!" Decius says as he grabs the boy by the collar brings him in and shuts the door.

Aedar looks at Decius as he drags the young boy in and says, "Isn't that the kid who gave us the bottle?"

The boy screams as he is dragged into the house "AHHHH"

"No, tell us who gave you these bottle, NOW!" Decius says showing the boy the bottle

"I I don't know someone in a fancy robe he had a hood on!" The boy says half scared to death

" How about this, you go back to however gave you these bottles and ask him his name and maybe I won't force feed this stuff to you. How's that sound?"

Aedar raised his hand and said, "Enough! Decius he is a child and a mislead one at that, now let him go, he doesn't know anything,".

"Fine! If he does this again you will die!" Decius says while he releases the boy and opens the door.

Aedar saw the anger in Decius marking it as odd, but continued his lesson, "Now repeat to me, how does a ward work?"

"It concentrates your magic on a point!" Decius says still angry walking back into the kitchen and grabbing some ale

Aedar shook his head and said, "No, it hards the magicka around you and turns it into a shield, not one point of magicka, but a general area in front of you,".

"Same thing. And let's get to work on my spell or atleast look at it."

Aedar shakes his head, "Patience, you need a lot of it, but for now we will glance at your spell then we can practice your wards," said Aedar. Hearing the door, "Get that will you,"

"How about this... We say fuck whoever is at the door and I go get my scroll and you think about us doing it and making official." Decius says as he walks to his room

Aedar chuckles and says, "Fine, Decius, just bring me the scroll,"
