Riften Bound

Za'tak sat in the carriage as it moved along the road, the ride itself being very unpleasant Za'tak preferring travel by horseback, he finds it quicker and it feels better to have the wind in your face. He looked out at the mountains and saw the ice and snow capped mountains which was normal for this season, or any season really it was, after all, Skyrim. Then Za'tak looked at Juliana and Manius and finally decided to ask the two,

"So why exactly are you coming with us?" asked Za'tak.

Manius turned he was sitting in the back so he could chit chat with the driver at any time "Besides that I was asked, or is it because I am to building the armor?"

Za'tak nodded saying, "So you're here for a decent reason, but how about you" said Za'tak looking at Juliana, who he still believed was Isabel

Za'tak looked up saying quietly almost to himself, "What the hell was that?"

Manius looked up to investigate the noise "I don't know, let's just hope that it is simply a storm."

Juliana looked at Za'tak. "Im her because im Aela's protege and I do think you could use an extra hand." She said after the loud boom.

"She is correct.Manius resettles in his seat "On the other hand, we are going by carriage."

Za'tak cracked his neck, he didn't like it, but he'd live with it if nothing else it would help protect his Companions, "Fine," said Za'tak falling back into his seat as he had leaned forwards to talk to Manius and Juliana who had sat farther down in the carriage.

[b]As the carriage continued it came across a pair of towers that over looked the river not far from Whiterun, it was during the early afternoon, and the towers were covers with mangled corpses and blood was splatterd everywhere.

Za'tak yelled, "Stop the carriage," and made the man driving stop as he jumped out the back, shoving through the others. Za'tak looked at the blood, smelling noticing it was fairly fresh, "What the hell happened here?" said Za'tak putting his hand on Dawnbreaker.

As the sun begins to set Shando and his Thalmor companions could be seen at the base of the tower on the main road and were just entering the tower to find out what had happned. Shando sat out front of the towers on the main road in front of a pot of soup. Shando looked up to see a khajiit shouting orders. Shando throws some strange leaves on the soup and dipped the bowl obtaining some soup. Shando took a spoonful before looking up to see the khajiit draw his sword. He swallowed before saying "A very good question khajiit , i know not we arrived a short time ago to find the tower in ruins like this. Judging from the blood i'd say some sort of beast."

Shando took another spoonful before asking "soup?"

Manius jumped out of the carriage without his shield"I do not know but I plan to find out..."Manius notices the elf"What are YOU doing here?"

Anoter loud bang could be heard extremly close to the towers

"I was travelling by and noticed the tower in the condition as it is so i made some soup while my men unpacked and were about to enter the tower. Would you like some?" Shando says right before he takes another spoonful. He ate like a nobleman neat and tidy not like the common nord of skyrim making a mess of their food. He kept his eye on the Khajiit with the sword and turned away only to make eye contact with the nord before turning back.

He assumed the Khajiit assumed he and his men did this , the truth was they were as clueless as he was.

Za'tak clenched his blade even harder as he heard the noise, paying little attention to the high elf as he wanted to know more about the sound and he said to the group, "Did you hear that?"

Tiberius jumped out rubbing his hands together. "We just started on our way. What in the Oblivion are we stopping for." Tiberius looked at the elf. Then at Za'tak. "Why don't we leave this sappy wine drinker to his business."

Juliana still sat in the carriage waiting for everyone to return. She didn't like the fact that they stopped just coming out of Whiterun.

The Bosmer finished his wine and the soup in his bowl in one quick succesion before standing up. He turned to the tower and yelled up "Anything?"


As Shando was finishing his food 12 soldiers were heading up the tower while the 2 dwemer researchers stayed on the bottom floor. six bosmer and six altmer headed up the tower. the lead soldier had his bound sword in hand and yells"nothing yet , wait what is That! Demon!" the soldier sees a hooded figure in black with black scales before him and swings his sword overhead at the Demon, assuming this thing commited this most devious act. The other eleven soldiers fall in suit. Drawing weapons preparing to strike it down.

Shando hears the yell and sits back down in his chair. He calculated twelve vs one, very nice odds even if it was a vampire or werewolf, twelve of the Dominions finest should have no problem. Even if one falls the others would chop it down. And if by some chance they all did fall to this beast the half wits that came in the carriage would take care of it , he didnt have a care in the world.

The man doesn't move at all, he simply looks up and FUS RU DA! Then a deafening boom is heard and two of the soldiers come crashing through the stone wall breaking just about every bone inside their bodies. The man then looks to the other soldiers YUL TOOR SHUL! And all of the soldiers burst into flame

All of the Soldiers burn to death save one. Who screams as he runs down the tower screaming and dies just past the door landing at the Khajit's feet.

"AHAHHAHAHAHaaaaaaaa"

Za'tak unsheathed his sword and stabbed the elf, he was dying anyways, kicking the body aside he looked at Shando and said to him, "What the hell was that?" pointing at the corpse.

A loud crash resonates from the top of the tower as someone slowly makes their way down. The now fully black steel plated armor moves as if it we're a forceful shadow coming to life. A dagger from the chest is drawn the signature weapon of those in charge of the dakr brotherhood, the Blade of Woe. "Death has begun in the lands of this shattered tower. More death shall come. The killing of a priest is frowned down upon dearest kill. Appearntly someone was filled with enough rage they wished for the the hand of the black plague to take your life."

He was fully aware that the prey would confront him, he had the high ground and the poisions from the girl to match.

Shando looks up the tower to where the lound sound resonated from,he then looked to the Khajiit "shall we?"
